Download the Microsoft Authenticator App &amp; Cisco AnyConnect Client<\/h2>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Start by downloading the Microsoft Authenticator app. <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/getMicrosoftAuthenticator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Direct links to the app are available through this link<\/a>. <strong>There is no need to open the app at this step in the process.<\/strong>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>If you already have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed on your mobile device, please proceed to Step 2.<\/li>\n<li>Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/cuvpn.carleton.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cisco AnyConnect<\/a> VPN client (if you do not already have it) using your MC1 account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Step 2. Enrol in Multi-Factor Authentication<\/h2>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/studentmfa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Visit this page to enroll in Multi-Factor Authentication<\/a>, then proceed to Step 4. If an error appears, please <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">contact the ITS Service Desk<\/a> for assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 4. Configure Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client<\/h2>\n<p>Download the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cuvpn.carleton.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cisco AnyConnect<\/a>\u00a0VPN client (if you do not already have it) using your MC1 account.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manually enter\u00a0<strong><code>cuvpn.carleton.ca\/mfa<\/code><\/strong>\u00a0and click \u2018Connect\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Each time you connect to the VPN in the future, you will see<strong><code>CarletonU-RemoteVPN-MicrosoftMFA<\/code><\/strong>profile when logging in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2860\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/help-centre\/wp-content\/uploads\/vpn2-update-400x412.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/help-centre\/wp-content\/uploads\/vpn2-update-400x412.png 400w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/help-centre\/wp-content\/uploads\/vpn2-update-240x247.png 240w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/help-centre\/wp-content\/uploads\/vpn2-update-160x165.png 160w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/help-centre\/wp-content\/uploads\/vpn2-update-360x371.png 360w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/help-centre\/wp-content\/uploads\/vpn2-update.png 483w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Once you have selected the profile, click Connect.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5.
