Only &#8220;owners&#8221; may perform the following functions:<\/p>\n<h3>ADDING MEMBERS<\/h3>\n<p>As a Team <strong>owner<\/strong> you are responsible for adding members by opening\u00a0<strong>Teams<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teams\/app\/\">app<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\">website<\/a>), clicking on the ellipsis to the right of the Teams site in question, and select<strong>\u00a0Add Members<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong> Carleton staff\/faculty<\/strong>: type the first name and select the staff\/faculty member from the list<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Carleton students<\/strong>: enter the students full cmail address: <span style=\"color: blue;\">&#x4a;&#x61;&#110;&#101;D&#x6f;&#x65;&#x40;&#99;ma&#x69;&#x6c;&#46;&#99;a&#x72;&#x6c;&#x65;&#116;on&#x2e;&#x63;&#97;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>External users<\/strong>: enter the email address of the external invitee, e.g. <span style=\"color: blue;\">Jan&#101;&#68;&#111;&#101;&#x40;&#x67;&#x6d;&#x61;&#x69;&#x6c;&#x2e;com<\/span><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>The external user will receive an email invite and must accept it to join.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-311 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teams\/wp-content\/uploads\/teams-adding-member-400x340.png\" alt=\"Adding members\" width=\"400\" height=\"340\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Microsoft Refs:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/support.office.com\/en-us\/article\/add-people-to-a-team-aff2249d-b456-4bc3-81e7-52327b6b38e9#ID0EAABAAA=Desktop\">Add people to a team<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/support.office.com\/en-us\/article\/see-who-s-on-a-team-or-in-a-channel-5c6be9be-9c45-4a0f-a1a0-f332b23cb6b7\">See who&#8217;s on a Team<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>REMOVING TEAMS MEMBERS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As a Team <strong>owner<\/strong> you may remove Team members. Open <strong>Teams<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teams\/app\/\">app<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\">website<\/a>), click on the ellipsis to the right of the Teams site in question, as shown below, and select <strong>Manage Team<\/strong>. Then click the &#8220;x&#8221; next to the name of the member whom you wish to delete.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: To remove another team &#8220;owner&#8221;, you must first convert them to a &#8220;member&#8221;, and then the &#8220;x&#8221; will appear, allowing you to delete him or her.\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-313 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/teams\/wp-content\/uploads\/teams-removing-member-400x340.png\" alt=\"Teams showing removing member\" width=\"400\" height=\"340\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><b>ADDING CHANNELS<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Your Teams site comes with a default channel, <strong>General<\/strong>. Each channel has its own Conversation page and Files hierarchy.
