Rich’s research focuses on the ideological influence of Zionist socialism on members of the resistance movements in the Warsaw and Vilna ghettos. Through the actions of Mordechai Anielewicz, Abba Kovner, and Yitzhak Zuckerman leaders of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, Rich plans to assess how their participation in the Tarbut school system and in various components of the Halutzim influenced their decision to risk their lives and resist the Germans.
