{"id":6077,"date":"2017-08-25T12:34:21","date_gmt":"2017-08-25T16:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/jewishstudies\/?p=6077"},"modified":"2021-03-02T12:36:11","modified_gmt":"2021-03-02T17:36:11","slug":"keeping-the-promise-of-never-again-descendants-of-holocaust-survivors-launch-new-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/jewishstudies\/2017\/keeping-the-promise-of-never-again-descendants-of-holocaust-survivors-launch-new-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Keeping the promise of never again: Descendants of Holocaust Survivors launch new group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Centre for Holocaust Education and Scholarship (CHES) hosted recently a gathering of a group of Ottawa descendants of Holocaust survivors:<\/p>\n<p>Descendants of Holocaust survivors in Ottawa recently met to connect, share experiences and find new ways to pass on the lessons of the worst genocide in human history\u2014especially once their parents and other eyewitnesses are gone.<\/p>\n<p>The informal gathering, at the home of second-generation descendant Batia Winer, was organized by the Centre for Holocaust Education and Scholarship (CHES).
