<\/a><\/p>\nIzabella Tabarovsky is the Senior Fellow with the Z3 Institute for Jewish Priorities and Senior Advisor with the Kennan Institute (Wilson Center). She oversees the Institute\u2019s regional partnerships and programming, it’s independent journalism initiatives, and its Historical Memory initiative. She manages the Kennan Institute\u2019s Russia File, Focus Ukraine, and In Other Words blogs, and co-hosts its Russia File podcast. She has coordinated Kennan\u2019s U.S.-Israel working group on Russia in the Middle East, Kennan\u2019s alumni conferences, and other initiatives and events. Her research expertise includes politics of historical memory, Russia’s independent media, the Holocaust, Stalin\u2019s repressions, and Soviet and contemporary left antisemitism.<\/p>\n
Her previous engagements include the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; Harvard University\u2019s Kennedy School of Government; and Cambridge Energy Research Associates. She has served as an associate producer on the critically acclaimed\u00a0PBS\u00a0documentary \u201cCommanding Heights: The Battle for the World Economy,\u201d and worked on\u00a0PBS\/Frontline\u00a0documentary \u201cThe Age of AIDS\u201d and at \u201cOn Point,\u201d an acclaimed\u00a0NPR\u00a0talk-show.<\/p>\n
Izabella holds a Master of Arts degree in Russian History from Harvard University and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She is a native Russian speaker with working knowledge of Hebrew, Spanish, French, and German. Her writings have been published in\u00a0Newsweek, The National Interest, Tablet, Forward, Times of Israel, Fathom, Jewish Telegraphic Agency\u00a0and others.<\/p>\n
