First Annual Interdisciplinary Graduate Student Conference in Jewish Studies<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Max and Tessie Zelikovitz Centre for Jewish Studies at Carleton University is proud to announce the first annual interdisciplinary graduate student conference in Jewish Studies to be held on April 11, 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n

We invite papers from graduate students working on projects in Jewish Studies broadly defined from a variety of disciplinary perspectives (history, religious studies, cultural studies, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, film, literature, art history, among others). \u00a0We are particularly interested in papers from scholars who take an interdisciplinary approach to their topic or whose work challenges existing assumptions or paradigms within their respective field. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Papers should be 15-20 minutes long. \u00a0Proposals consist of a 300 word abstract of the paper and a brief c.v. \u00a0Please also indicate in your proposal if you will be requiring any audiovisual needs for your presentation. \u00a0Please direct all proposal submissions and inquiries about the conference to:<\/span> <\/span>zelikovitz.centre@gmail.com<\/a><\/span>.<\/span>
