The time to upload depends on the size of the file and the connection speed of the computer performing the upload.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Visit the Kaltura website for information on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/knowledge.kaltura.com\/kaltura-personal-capture-prerequisites-and-system-requirements\">System Requirements to install Personal Capture<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2><b><a id=\"update1\"><\/a>Update Your Version of Kaltura Personal Capture<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Please make sure that your version of Kaltura capture is the most recent. Once installed by an end-user Kaltura Capture will attempt to auto-update itself if the application is left idle for approximately five minutes. A message will display informing the user the update is taking place, to not start a new capture until the update is complete, and a final notification letting the user know the update is finished. Kaltura Capture installations installed to lab deployments do not auto-update. If it does not auto-update you can delete the application and reinstall it.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To check the most recent version available go here <a and will take twice as long to upload and process. Consider not using the webcam if you have poor internet upload speeds.<\/p>\n<p><em>***A 5 Mbps upload speed is recommended for the best experience. Captions are helpful for viewers who are in a space where they cannot turn their audio on. Captions also provide a visual channel for information, which supports the viewer&#8217;s ability to select the type of input that works best for them.<\/p>\n<p>If there is a student who is registered with the Paul Menton Centre in the class, it is possible that the university may allocate funding for professional captions.
