The Landon Pearson Centre<\/a> is a co-investigator on a number of international projects funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRCC). The most recent projects are noted below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International and Canadian Child Rights Partnership<\/a> (ICCRP), an international consortium of children’s rights experts in 39 countries who investigate the interconnections of children’s rights with participation and protection with a focus on intergenerational relationships. The ICCRP policy working groups examines how intergenerational relationships can transcend current barriers to implementing children’s rights, through intergenerational partnerships, in research, policy, and practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Inclusive Early Childhood Services Systems<\/a> (IECSS) is a seven-year SSHRCC-funded project developed through a partnership with community, academic and policy organizations. This longitudinal study works with families to understand their experiences with early childhood services for children living with disability. The Landon Pearson Centre<\/a> organized the Youth Advisory Council for the project by using the Shaking the Movers<\/a> model for youth engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GlobalChild<\/a> works under the auspices of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child to create a comprehensive, multilingual, electronic monitoring tool called GlobalChild that can track the progress<\/strong> made in existing policies and programs that support child health and development, provide evidence<\/strong> and data to inform the decisions of politicians, policymakers and researchers on issues related to children, and ensure government accountability<\/strong> to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
