Carole Soucis

CAROLE SOUCIS is a lawyer, mediator, conflict resolution practitioner and trainer with over 30 years of experience. She has worked in the private and public sectors, in Canada and abroad, as legal and senior advisor, mediator, adjudicator, facilitator and trainer, in matters related to civil, organizational, international, intercultural and deep-rooted conflicts.

Carole has been working for the Government of Canada since 1989. She has held various conflict resolution positions in relation to indigenous, intercultural and immigration and refugee matters. She has taken part in various senior management committees, has advised senior management and has actively participated in developing, modernising, implementing and managing conflict resolution programs, policies, legislation, training and tools.

She is a trainer and honoured fellow of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution (CICR) and a former member of their Board of Directors. She teaches the CICR program in French, English and Spanish, in Canada and abroad.

Carole has received awards and distinctions for her work and contributions in relation to conflict resolution programs and practices. She has been invited to speak on this topic at various national and international conferences and events, including the United Nations.

She is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
