Research Interests<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Salazar specializes in<\/span> corporate law, comparative corporate governance<\/span>,<\/span> consumer protection law and policy, international investment law, competition law and policy, and the <\/span>socio-economics<\/span> of business law. His recent research examines <\/span>executive compensation, <\/span>employees\u2019 participation <\/span>in corporate governance, <\/span>food advertising <\/span>and public health, <\/span>corporate social responsibility and <\/span>employees\u2019 interest, <\/span>and corporate corruption in rich and poor countries.<\/span> <\/span>
\n <\/span>
\nPrior to joining Carleton University in 2013, he taught at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Business and Society Program of York University and served as MacArthur Fellow at the University of Oxford and CAPORDE fellow at the University of Cambridge. Professor Salazar is a member of the Directory of Experts involved in Academic Consumer Interest Research in Canada (Industry Canada\/U of Waterloo). He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Law and Business Review of the Americas<\/span> <\/span>

\nProfessor Salazar is the founder and coordinator of the <\/span>Carleton Law, Business and Society Group<\/span><\/b>, an academic group devoted to the discussion of business law issues from a critical and an interdisciplinary perspective. He volunteers at some food banks <\/span>and also<\/span> collaborates with several legal clinics that provide legal aid to <\/span>vulnerable <\/span>groups and promote social justice and business ethics in <\/span>Canada and <\/span>Latin America. Professor Salazar loves soccer, walking, music and nature.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
