Ed. &#8211; British Columbia<\/em><br>\n<em>LL.B &#8211; Western<\/em><br>\n<em>LL.M &#8211; Harvard<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The late Professor Chet Mitchell (1949 &#8211; 1991), Associate Professor of Law at Carleton University, was a colleague in the Department from July 1984 until his untimely passing in January 1991. He was a popular and enthusiastic instructor in a number of areas, most notably criminal law and medical legal issues. His areas of research interest were eclectic but he had a remarkable ability to bridge and connect ideas, theories and examples. He published over 15 refereed articles, edited special issues for two journals, and just before his death, published a book, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carletonu.summon.serialssolutions.com\/?q=Mitchell%2C%20Chet%20N.#!\/search\/document?q=Mitchell,%20Chet%20N.&amp;id=FETCHMERGED-carletonu_catalog_b1401572a1\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Drug Solution: Regul<\/span><\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/carletonu.summon.serialssolutions.com\/?q=Mitchell%2C%20Chet%20N.#!\/search\/document?q=Mitchell,%20Chet%20N.&amp;id=FETCHMERGED-carletonu_catalog_b1401572a1\" target=\"_blank\">ating Drugs According to Principles of Efficiency, Justice and Democracy<\/a>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chet contributed to the administrative life of the Department and enriched many a conversation with lively debate.
