Law, Culture, and the Humanities Conference: Friday-Saturday, March 22-23, 2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The twenty second annual conference for the Association for the Study of Law, Culture and the Humanities<\/strong> is hosted by the Department of Law and Legal Studies<\/strong> at Carleton University and the Joint Chair in Women\u2019s Studies<\/a> <\/strong>at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About The Association for the Study of Law, Culture and the Humanities<\/strong>
Representing an organization of scholars engaged in interdisciplinary, humanistically oriented legal scholarship, the Association brings together a wide range of people engaged in scholarship on legal history, legal theory and jurisprudence, law and cultural studies, law and literature, law and the performing arts, and legal hermeneutics. The Association strives to encourage dialogue across and among these fields about issues of interpretation, identity, and values, about authority, obligation, and justice, and about law\u2019s place in culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration<\/strong>
Registration will take place in the Quebec Suite Foyer on the First Floor of the hotel on Friday, March 22 from 8am-4pm and Saturday, March 23 from 9am-12:30pm. You will be provided with a name tag to access all sessions (as well as Ottawa tourist sites \u2013 see below), a condensed version of the program and a drink ticket for the reception. Those that have not registered will be asked to do so on-site at the registration table (tablets and computers will be available).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
