Approved courses that students complete successfully then count towards the degree from Carleton. Experience the cultural and social life of an English city.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognized as a National City of Sport, Sheffield is a friendly city with a large student population and offers a diverse array of pubs, clubs, theatres, shops and other entertainment venues to sample. Delve into the rich historical heritage of the area &#8211; castles, cathedrals, abbeys and other local landmarks &#8211; or explore the picturesque moors of the Peak District National Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"what-will-i-study\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Will I Study?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Courses at Sheffield Hallam are firmly rooted in the social scientific study of law, and are taught in a professional law school. Students select up to 6 units to study during the year &#8211; this would be the equivalent of 5.0 full credits at Carleton. Select approved courses from the LL.B. (Hons.) Law syllabus of the Division of Applied Social Science, Faculty of Development and Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Course choices include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>administrative law,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>law of financial services,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>welfare law,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;comparative law,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>law and medicine,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>law and social theory,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the state and civil liberties,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>family law and policy and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>legal perspectives on criminal justice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"what-are-the-requirements\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the Requirements?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The minimum requirements for consideration for the Exchange are third-year standing in Law at the time of the Exchange. Students must have completed LAWS 1000 and 2.0 credits in 2nd year LAWS courses.
