SUMMER 2026<\/strong> – Please note that we are not seeking applications for Contract Instructor positions for Summer 2026 teaching at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Posting Periods<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

CI positions for Summer term are typically posted in December. Fall and Winter term postings typically become available in the spring. Closed postings are located at the bottom of this page to provide examples of courses and the application process. Please check back regularly for new listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Notes on the Collective Agreement<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

All postings are pursuant to Article 16.3 of the CUPE 4600 Unit 2 Collective Agreement. All incumbents MUST apply for each specific course(s) as per CUPE 4600 Unit 2 collective agreement Article 15.3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per Articles 16.3 and 16.4 in the CUPE 4600-2 Collective Agreement, posted vacancies are offered first to applicants meeting the incumbency criterion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Notes from the Department<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Candidates should hold at least an M.A. degree in a law field or an LL.B., and have particular research or employment experience in a relevant field. Priority will be given to candidates with higher research degrees and teaching experience at the university level. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All positions are subject to budgetary approval. Only applicants that are selected for an interview will be contacted. Please Note: The Department of Law and Legal Studies is part of the Faculty of Public and Global Affairs.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
