\n Memorial for Matthew Liikane\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

The Department of Law and Legal Studies community is saddened to learn of the death of Matthew Liikane<\/strong><\/a>, a fourth-year B.A. Law student, who passed away on March 23, 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those unable to attend the funeral service in Barrie ON, a live-stream broadcast will be held tomorrow –  Thursday, April 2<\/strong> – starting at 2:00pm<\/strong> in D492 Loeb Building <\/strong>(please watch for updates on the location)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley Street, Barrie, 705-721-9921) to initiate a University Scholarship in Matthew’s memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those members of the university community who are most affected by Matthew’s death, we encourage you to please consider accessing the Health and Counselling Services<\/a> in Room 2600 of the Carleton Technology and Training Centre or by calling 613-520-6674.
