Responding to scholarly accusations that Eastern M\u00e9tis are \u201czombies\u201d with no \u201cliving\u201d traditions, Professor Malette will present the oral tradition of Marie-Louise Riel, reported as protecting Louis Riel in the Outaouais region during his political exile after the first resistance of 1869-1870.
