Description: This workshop is designed to introduce key concepts and practices of sound records management. Participants will explore their responsibilities to records management at the university and how the Corporate Archives can assist them in their work.

Topics Covered:

  • Identifying official records of the university versus transitory records
  • Practical tips for effective management of records from creation to disposition
  • Introduction to the Corporate Records and Archives Policy
  • Introduction to the Carleton University Retention Schedule
  • Offices of Primary Responsibility
  • Services of the Carleton University Corporate Archives

Audience (Maximum 25 participants):

  • New employees
  • Employees new to supervisory or management roles
