This course is intended for Microsoft OneNote desktop application users.

Please ensure you have the MS OneNote 2019 desktop app installed on your local machine prior to the workshop.

OneNote is a digital note-taking app that provides a single place for keeping all of your notes, research, plans, and information — everything you need to remember and manage in your life at home, at work, or at school.

In OneNote, notebooks never run out of paper. Notes are easy to organize, print, and share, and you can search and find important information quickly, even if you forget where you’ve originally captured it. Best of all, your notebooks are stored online so you can easily get to them on any of your mobile devices.

In this workshop you will learn how to use OneNote features to benefit your productivity. Upon completion of the course you will be able to accomplish the following:

  • Insert and manage sections, and pages, edit notebook properties, as well as insert various types of notes, and work with page versions, and page spacing.
  • Create links, apply and manage note tags, and search notebooks to locate specific notes.
  • Create shared notebooks, share existing notebooks, and work with others in shared notebooks simultaneously.
  • Apply, create, and use various types of templates, as well as use various integration features that allow you to work with other programs, such as Microsoft Office applications.

Registration is available through Carleton Central. Under the Employee Services tab, click on Learning and Professional Development, then select Workshop Registration followed by All Workshops.

When registered you will receive further information and the Zoom link via email closer to the session date.
