Every activity on and off campus is accompanied by risks and it is the responsibility of the manager or organizer to mitigate these risk to ensure the achievement of the department goals or the success of the event.
This seminar will introduce the concepts of risk and risk management. It will also review the new risk management manual, risk management policy and framework. The session will also draw attention to sections of the manual which deal with waivers and informed consents, transportation risks, contracts, insurance coverage and other topics of importance.
