Formerly an Associate Professor of International Development and Global Studies, Prof. Nakache was also a Visiting Professor at the Global Migration Centre from 2015 to 2016 and a Visiting Professor at the Catholic University of Leuven&#8217;s Faculty of Law in 2017. Professor Nakache holds an LL.D. from McGill University, LL.M. from l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al and an LL.B. from l\u2019Institut d&#8217;\u00e9tudes politiques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Professor Nakache is a member of several research teams focusing on migration and refugees. In LERRN she leads the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/lerrn\/protection-working-group\/\">Protection Working Group<\/a>, in collaboration with the Refugee Hub. She is also leading a five-year SSHRC-funded research on pathways into and out of precarity for migrant workers in Canada (Profs Idil Atak, Jason Foster, Luin Goldring, Co-Investigators) and leading the Canadian portion of a three-year Horizon 2020 EU research project analyzing how the protection regimes of some countries (Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, Lebanon, Norway, South Africa, Uganda) address the &#8220;vulnerabilities&#8221; of migrants seeking protection, and how migrants&#8217; concrete experiences are affected accordingly (Professors <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/lerrn\/people\/dagmar-soennecken\/\">Dagmar Soennecken<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/lerrn\/people\/francois-crepeau\/\">Fran\u00e7ois Cr\u00e9peau<\/a>, Co-investigators; <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/lerrn\/people\/nathan-benson\/\">Nathan Benson<\/a> and Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/lerrn\/people\/james-milner\/\">James Milner<\/a>, Collaborators). She is also a Co-Investigator in several funded research projects besides LERRN:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>A SSHRC-funded research (Partnership Grant, 2013-2019) titled \u201cOn the Move\u201d investigating employment-related geographical mobility and its consequences for workers, families, employers, communities, and all levels of governments.<\/li>\n<li>A France-Canada funded research (2017-2019), exploring the role of citizenship acquisition for immigrant integration trajectories in Canada and France<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Beyond the fields of academic research, Prof. Nakache provides consultancy work for the United Nations and the Government of Canada and is an International Adviser with the International Detention Coalition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A selection of publications coauthored by Prof. Nakache relevant to the human rights and security-based implications of migration, citizenship and refugee laws and policies include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Delphine Nakache, Jessica Losier.
