Professor David James Cantor<\/strong>, PhD<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0is\u00a0<\/span>the founder and\u00a0<\/span>Director of the\u00a0<\/span>Internal Displacement Research Programme<\/span><\/a>, at\u00a0<\/span>Refugee Law Initiative<\/span><\/a>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>School of Advanced Study, University of London, UK.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

David\u00a0<\/span>researches<\/span>\u00a0on the legal and practical protection of refugees and IDPs and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>has published widely in books and peer-review journals. His extensive field research across Latin America, including in Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico, won the\u00a0<\/span>Times Higher Education<\/span><\/i>\u00a0Research of the Year Award in 2017-18.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>He has advised and trained governments from Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Europe and Latin America. He was recently seconded part-time to the UNHCR Americas Bureau as its Principal Advisor.
