I am a Masters student in the Migration and Diaspora Studies program at Carleton University. As the daughter of Cambodian refugees, I have drawn inspiration from my family’s history and become involved in the migration field as an emerging scholar, private refugee sponsor, and volunteer.<\/p>\n

My research interests include oral histories of migration, immigrant entrepreneurship, and newcomer integration programming. My MA thesis combines these passions by examining immigrant culinary entrepreneurship and its impact on individuals’ experiences of integration in Canada. On the same topic, I curate these stories on the immigrEATS Food Blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Over the last five years with LERRN, I have been involved in various knowledge mobilization projects, including editing the working paper publications, writing event reports, and contributing to LERRN’s newsletters.<\/p>\n
