Before coming to Carleton my work focused on migrations to Italy (and Europe) via the Central Mediterranean route. As a continuation of my work in an academic fashion, my thesis aims at examining the peculiarity of the Italian case while establishing a continuum between Italy\u2019s imperial or colonial past and its present policy of migrants\u2019 exclusion.
