His extensive field research across Latin America, including in Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico, won the&nbsp;<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Times Higher Education<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&nbsp;Research of the Year Award in 2017-18.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&nbsp;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">He has advised and trained governments from Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Europe and Latin America. He was recently seconded part-time to the UNHCR Americas Bureau as its Principal Advisor.
