Professor David James Cantor<\/strong>, PhD<\/span>,<\/span> is <\/span>the founder and <\/span>Director of the <\/span>Internal Displacement Research Programme<\/span><\/a>, at <\/span>Refugee Law Initiative<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> <\/span>School of Advanced Study, University of London, UK. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

David <\/span>researches<\/span> on the legal and practical protection of refugees and IDPs and<\/span> <\/span>has published widely in books and peer-review journals. His extensive field research across Latin America, including in Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico, won the <\/span>Times Higher Education<\/span><\/i> Research of the Year Award in 2017-18.<\/span> <\/span>He has advised and trained governments from Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Europe and Latin America. He was recently seconded part-time to the UNHCR Americas Bureau as its Principal Advisor.
