Her research focuses on migration and refugee policies and laws in Latin America, south-south migration and the Venezuelan displacement crisis. Prof. Freier has published widely in both academic and media outlets, and has been interviewed on the Venezuelan displacement crisis in international media, including BBC, El Pa\u00eds, La Presse, and The Economist. Prof. Freier has provided advice to various international institutions and organizations such as Amnesty International, ICRC, IDB, IOM, UNHCR, the World Bank and the EU. She is Migration Research and Publishing High-Level Adviser of the IOM. One of her recent publications is \u201cSymbolic Refugee Protection: Explaining Latin America\u2019s Liberal Refugee Laws\u201d (with Hammoud-Gallego in American Political Science Review).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professeur associ\u00e9 de sciences politiques \u00e0 l&#8217;Universidad del Pac\u00edfico (Lima, P\u00e9rou), ses recherches portent sur les politiques et les lois relatives aux migrations et aux r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s en Am\u00e9rique latine, les migrations sud-sud et la crise des d\u00e9placements au Venezuela. Le professeur Freier a publi\u00e9 de nombreux articles dans des revues universitaires et des m\u00e9dias, et a \u00e9t\u00e9 interview\u00e9e sur la crise du d\u00e9placement au Venezuela dans des m\u00e9dias internationaux, notamment la BBC, El Pa\u00eds, La Presse et The Economist. Le professeur Freier a fourni des conseils \u00e0 diverses institutions et organisations internationales telles qu&#8217;Amnesty International, le CICR, la BID, l&#8217;OIM, le HCR, la Banque mondiale et l&#8217;UE. Elle est conseill\u00e8re de haut niveau de l&#8217;OIM en mati\u00e8re de recherche et de publication sur la migration.
