She holds a degree in media studies from the University of Sulaimani, where she has lived her whole life. She currently works as a researcher and translator of Kurdish literature at Kashkul, the Center of Art and Culture at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani. She is part of a team that is working on translating a selection of articles written by the early twentieth century Kurdish journalist, writer, and poet, Piramerd.
