The project builds on LERRN\u2019s recent work with its partners&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/lerrn\/lerrn-rsc-cls-evaluation-of-rlos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"4\">on the impact of refugee-led organizations in East Africa and the Middle East<\/a>, and seeks to inform research, policy and practice on the conditions that enable or constrain refugees from demonstrating leadership in navigating local, national and regional power structures to influence the development and implementation of policy and programmes intended to affect the daily lives of refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This&nbsp;18-month project&nbsp;will emphasize the active and equal participation of researchers with lived experience of displacement in developing the research methodology, conducting research, producing knowledge, and mobilizing knowledge to influence research, policy and practice.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\"><div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button \" href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/lerrn\/refugee-leadership-in-south-america-and-east-africa\/\">Visit Project Webpage<\/a><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 id=\"evaluation-of-refugee-led-organisations-in-east-africa-and-the-middle-east\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Evaluation of Refugee-Led Organisations in East Africa and the Middle East<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>LERRN, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsc.ox.ac.uk\/\">Refugee Studies Centre<\/a>&nbsp;(RSC) at the University of Oxford, and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lebanesestudies.com\/\">Centre for Lebanese Studies<\/a>&nbsp;(CLS), are working together on a study funded by a consortium of donors including the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/idrc.ca\/\">International Development Research Centre<\/a>&nbsp;(IDRC), the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.opensocietyfoundations.org\/\">Open Society Foundations<\/a>&nbsp;(OSF),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bosch-stiftung.de\/en\">Robert Bosch Stiftung<\/a>&nbsp;and others.
