We are also interested in the effect of the program on students\u2019 reading attitudes and confidence.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Intervention:<\/strong> Neuralign is an online intervention that provides a multi-pronged approach to help struggling readers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><strong>\u201cNeuralign is a powerful cognitive training program for people with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. Neuralign is delivered online in a growing list of countries and languages, through qualified and exclusive local licensees.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; Neuralign<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This intervention program is a 13-week program, participants complete activities that train phonological skills, cognitive skills and attention. It includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a03 weeks of cognitive training (1hr\/day x 5 days per week).<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">10 weeks of reading practice (approximately 15 min\/day X 5 days per week).<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our researchers will also test the students\u2019 reading and cognitive skills before and after the intervention.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*Testing will be in-person sessions at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>You can visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/neuralign.org\">Neuralign<\/a> website to learn more about the program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Funding:<\/strong> The Neuralign project is funded by a <a href=\"http:\/\/mitacs.ca\">MITACS<\/a> grant, and matching funds from Neuralign (led by Ingrid Poupart). This Neuralign project is in collaboration with Dr. Jo-Anne LeFevre at Carleton University.
