Launched in 1975<\/a> as the first campus radio in Canada, CKCU-FM 93.1 <\/strong>is not only an integral part of Carleton University<\/a>, but it is also \u2018Ottawa\u2019s Community Radio Station\u2019 which is broadcasting live, seven days a week around the clock. Transmitting its programs to an audience within a 100 km radius, that is the National Capital Region and beyond, it can be heard as well on live stream<\/a> all over the world.<\/p>\n

In 2010, on the occasion of its 35th anniversary, CKCU, The Mighty 93.1<\/em><\/strong> as it is frequently being called, launched this internet-based literary broadcasting\u00a0 service.<\/p>\n

CKCU Literary News<\/strong> is streaming<\/a> three programs:<\/p>\n

CKCU LitNews-2 <\/strong>Les Actualit\u00e9s litt\u00e9raires dans le monde francophone<\/strong><\/em> (to be on-air in October, 2011), hosted by Hans G. Ruprecht; ‘Paroles d’Afrique<\/a>‘, une \u00e9mission anim\u00e9e par Antoine Houlou-Garcia pour CKCU\/LiteraryNews \u00e0 Paris.<\/p>\n

CKCU LitNews-3 <\/strong>Das literarische Echo<\/a>. Deutschsprachige Litertur im Gespr\u00e4ch<\/strong><\/em>, co-hosted by Hans G. Ruprecht & Helmut Zobl.<\/p>\n

These programs can be heard on\u00a0<\/em>Tuesdays, 9:05 a.m. locally at 93.1 MHz (FM) and on live stream<\/em><\/a>. <\/em>Shortly after they have been aired, the <\/em>episodes of CKCU LitNews-1<\/strong>, LitNews-2<\/strong> and LitNews-3 <\/strong>are being posted as MP3-audio files for free downloading as \u00a0Podcast-1 (in English)<\/a> \u00a0 Podcast-2 (en fran\u00e7ais)<\/a> \u00a0 Podcast-3 (auf Deutsch)<\/a><\/em>; whereas the MP3-audio files of CKCU LitNews-3<\/strong> are being saved for easy downloading in the archive of\u00a0 Das literarische Echo<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
