I spent one full year at the university of Mannheim and I secured a 6 month internship at SAP Germany in my second semester which significantly increased my experience. I visited all 16 provinces and respective capitals of Germany and it allowed me to see how diverse the country is regionally.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Why did you choose this particular language?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It was required to choose a language for my program, I wanted to learn the language and culture of the European economic powerhouse and be able to experience the culture first hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Learning Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cristina Finger was my professor for most of my learning experience, she kept in touch with me during my exchange and was a very active helpful force to help me settle. She also encouraged me after the exchange to continue seeking language learning opportunities and platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using Language after Graduating<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s opened a lot more doors than I could have expected, I wanted to pursue post graduate education and feel drawn to returning to Germany to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why study a second or additional language?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Learning another language is more than just a certification. It allows you to relate to another\u2019s experiences and identity in a way that is more important than any designation could give you.
