The Multidisciplinary Approaches in Language Policy and Planning (LPP) conference brings scholars from different disciplines (language education, anthropology, political studies, social sciences, economics, linguistics, and more) whose work centres on language policy and planning at different levels: local, national and\/or international. The LPP conference was created by Dr. Tom Ricento in 2012 at the University of Calgary, where it was hosted until 2016. In 2017, the LPP conference moved to Toronto, where it was co-hosted by Dr. Jeff Bale and Dr. Eve Haque at OISE\/University of Toronto until 2019. After eight successful years, LPP2020 was cancelled due to COVID-19 but LPP2021 and LPP 2022 were co-hosted by Dr. Mela Sarkar and Dr. Amir Kalan at McGill University in Montr\u00e9al, Canada. More information about previous conferences can be found here<\/a>. 2026 marks the second time that the conference will be held in Ottawa after a successful 2024 edition.<\/span><\/p>\n

La<\/span><\/em>\u00a0conf\u00e9rence\u00a0Approches multidisciplinaires en planification et politiques linguistiques\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/i>(PPL)<\/em> <\/span>r\u00e9unit des sp\u00e9cialistes de diff\u00e9rentes disciplines (enseignement des langues, anthropologie, sciences politiques, sciences sociales, \u00e9conomie, linguistique, et autres)\u00a0<\/i>dont le travail se\u00a0<\/i>concentre<\/i>\u00a0sur la politique et\u00a0<\/i>l’am\u00e9nagement<\/i>\u00a0linguistiques \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents niveaux : local, national et\/ou international. La conf\u00e9rence<\/i>\u00a0PPL a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e par Dr. Tom Ricento en 2012 \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 de Calgary, o\u00f9\u00a0elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9e jusqu’en 2016. En 2017, la conf\u00e9rence PPL s’est d\u00e9plac\u00e9e \u00e0 Toronto, o\u00f9 elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 co-organis\u00e9e par Dr. Jeff Bale et Dr. Eve Haque \u00e0 OISE\/University of Toronto jusqu’en 2019. Apr\u00e8s huit ans, PPL2020 \u00e0 d\u00fb \u00eatre annul\u00e9e en raison de COVID-19 mais PPL2021 et PPL2022 ont\u00a0\u00e9t\u00e9\u00a0organis\u00e9es par Dr. Mela Sarkar et Dr. Amir Kalan \u00e0\u00a0l’Universit\u00e9 McGill \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, Canada.
