From 1998 to 2013, he worked as postdoc, research scientist and senior research scientist in Space Science &amp; Technology Branch, Canadian Space Agency (CSA). He obtained his Ph.D in Materials Science &amp; Engineering from the Leeds University, England in 1997. His expertise is in the areas of smart materials and composite structures.<br>\nHe holds B.Eng and M.Eng, obtained respectively in 1983 and 1986 from the department of materials, south China University of Technology, China.
