Work orders can be submitted to be machined by our staff, or students can receive training to reserve a machine and fabricate their design individually. Students may also opt to book a consultation to discuss their design without manufacturing it. In general, work order priority is given as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Urgent teaching lab\/facility maintenance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undergraduate coursework (including Capstones and design courses)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular teaching lab maintenance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extracurricular projects (including student teams like FSAE an CU InSpace)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>This order may change throughout the year, as can the time to fulfill a work order. Shop staff will make the final determinations when scheduling work based on priorities, available staff, and job complexity.
