\n 4th Year Capstone Projects (MAAE 4907)\n <\/h1>\n \n <\/header>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

The Capstone design project course (i.e. courses labelled MAAE4907X) is created to foster teamwork, communication, technical skill development and design work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps to complete BEFORE registration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Review your audit to determine if you are eligible:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
MECHANICAL<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
– All 2nd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– 3.5 credits from 3rd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– Basic Science Elective completed<\/td><\/tr>
– MECH 3002 completed<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
AEROSPACE A,B,C STREAMS<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
– All 2nd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– 3.5 credits from 3rd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– Basic Science Elective completed<\/td><\/tr>
– AERO 3002 completed<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
AEROSPACE D STREAM<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
– All 2nd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– 3.5 credits from 3rd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– Basic Science Elective completed<\/td><\/tr>
– AERO 3841 completed<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
BIOMEDICAL-MECHANICAL<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
– All 2nd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– 3.5 credits from 3rd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– BIOL 1103, MAAE 3202 and MECH 3710 completed<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
SREE B STREAM<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
– All 2nd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– 3.5 credits from 3rd year requirements completed<\/td><\/tr>
– Basic Science Elective completed <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If eligible, please email Capstone Coordinator, Professor Steve Ulrich<\/a> and Noreen Chalmers<\/a> , for Fourth Year Capstone Project assignment information<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Project assignments will be made by the capstone coordinator for all those who have submitted their selections by June 1. Your audit will then be reviewed and if you are eligible, you will receive an email indicating which project you have been assigned to within 2 weeks. All submissions before June 1 are ranked equally. They are not prioritized by time or date of submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have not submitted your selection before June 1 some projects may be full and they will be removed from the selection list. Project selections submitted after June 1 will be reviewed again on July 1 and August 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once you have received your project assignment, you will be asked to provide proof of completion of these safety training courses (found on Brightspace using the Discover feature) to our admin assistant, Noreen Chalmers.<\/a> Please do not submit proof until you have been assigned to a project.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
