Congratulations to Carleton University\u2019s Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. candidate, Steffan Lloyd<\/strong>, for winning Best Student Paper<\/strong> at the Modeling, Estimation and Control Conference (MECC 2022)<\/a> in Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.  The conference was hosted by the American Automatic Control Council (AACC)<\/a>, and the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ph.D. candidate, Steffan Lloyd, receives award for Best Student Paper at the Modeling, Estimation and Control Conference (MECC 2022) in Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Steffan presented his winning paper, \u201cApplication of Pseudo-Symbolic Dynamic Modeling (PDSM) in the Modeling and Calibration of a 6-DOF Articulated Robot<\/em><\/a>\u201d, which can be read here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The paper was coauthored by Lloyd\u2019s supervisors, Professor Rishad Irani<\/a>, and Professor Mojtaba Ahmadi<\/a>, both of Carleton\u2019s Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
