Ottawa is also the home of many of Canada\u2019s leading high-tech firms, such as Nokia Networks division formerly (<a href=\"http:\/\/www3.alcatel-lucent.com\/wps\/portal\/country?LMSG_CABINET=Corporate&amp;LMSG_CONTENT_FILE=Country_Content\/Canada\/Country.xml&amp;lu_lang_code=en_CA\">Alcatel &#8211; Lucent)<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corel.com\/corel\/pages\/index.jsp?pgid=10500110&amp;storeKey=ca\">Corel<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marlin-community.com\/partner\/solutions\/cloakware\">Cloakware<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entrust.com\/news\/corporate-governance-task-force-of-the-national-cyber-security-partnership-releases-industry-framework\/\">Entrust<\/a>. These ties give students an opportunity to see mathematics and statistics applied outside of the university.
