Students must, in consultation with their graduate supervisor, develop a detailed course outline and marking scheme.<\/p>\n<h3>Course Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>The approved directed studies outline must be signed by the student, graduate supervisor, Graduate Director and School Director.\u00a0 A MSc student can take 1 directed studies course towards their program.\u00a0 A PhD Student can take 2 directed studies towards their requirement. To be eligible for a directed study you must be in the thesis or project option of your degree.<\/p>\n<h3>Submission Deadline<\/h3>\n<p>Once the student and graduate supervisor have completed the directed studies outline it must be submitted to the department for approval 30 days prior to the beginning of the semester.
