{"id":9574,"date":"2014-10-17T11:58:44","date_gmt":"2014-10-17T15:58:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/math\/?page_id=9574"},"modified":"2026-03-18T21:39:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T01:39:06","slug":"math-adventures","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/math\/math-enrichment-centre\/math-adventures\/","title":{"rendered":"Math Adventures"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Math Adventures &#8211;\u00a0Grade 3-4 and 5-6 Students<\/h4>\n<p>Math Adventures is supported in part by the Canadian Mathematical Society<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-10135 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/math\/wp-content\/uploads\/CMS-240x366.jpg\" alt=\"CMS\" width=\"51\" height=\"80\" \/><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The students will explore interesting and exciting mathematics, curious problems, discussing and solving problems on<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Numbers<\/li>\n<li>Patterns<\/li>\n<li>Geometry<\/li>\n<li>Logic<\/li>\n<li>Math Games and Puzzles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course is based on the knowledge and skills required by the regular math curriculum at the corresponding grade level, which will be enhanced and could be applied in non-standard problem-solving activities.<\/p>\n<p>Each class will begin with an opening problem. After the presentation of a lesson by instructors, time will be devoted to independent work.<\/p>\n<p><em>Please keep in mind that we offer enrichment, and not remedial programs. Course curriculum and course materials are developed by <strong> Valeria Pandelieva <\/strong>.
