The Carleton University Library is hosting an event on 24 and 25 February called Freedom to Read. In association with the Scholars at Risk program, the Library is hosting this event to encourage us to “think about and reaffirm [our] commitment to freedom of expression and intellectual freedom, guaranteed under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.” Part of the event will include 3-minute readings from books that have been banned or challenged. Dr. James Milner will be reading from Timothy Findley’s The Wars.
