DESCRIPTION: 



The first session of the Decolonial/Postcolonial Reading group will be taking place on Tuesday, September 27th, at 6 PM in the lounge of the Graduate Students' Association (GSA) on the 6th floor of the University Centre. We will be screening the fascinating documentary Fire in Babylon, which follows the West Indies cricket team of the 1970s and 1980s.



 



We will follow the screening with a discussion about the film as well as conversation about what readings we'd like to undertake this year. I'll bring a shortlist of possible books as well as books we've already read in the past years, but we welcome any suggestions!
