I’m a mentor because I want to help students adjust like my mentor did for me. I know it can be tricky to get used to university and I want to help as best I can!
Something I wished I knew in my first year…
As a new Carleton student, I wish I had known how easy it is to get involved on campus. I came to Ottawa from Vancouver by myself and I was really shy. I had trouble meeting new people until I spent time with my residence floor neighbours. I wish I had known more about all the clubs and teams available at Carleton and how easy it was to find something that worked for me!
