Why I’m a mentor:
I am a mentor because I like interacting with students and helping them out as much as I can. As a mentor I wish to share my experiences and knowledge with the students so that they don’t face the same problems I did in my first year.
Something I wished I knew in my first year…
Being an international student, I was unfamiliar with the various buildings on campus and the initial few weeks I had a lot of trouble navigating my way through the tunnels. I also wish I knew more about the on-campus resources (such as the career services and the academic advising department among others) that are available to the students.
