Why did you want to become a mentor?
I became a mentor because as a former FYC mentee and a previous FYC mentor, this program has had a notably positive impact on my time as a student as well as on other first-year students I have mentored in the past. My hope is to continue that trend for more first-year students to come.
What is one thing you wished you knew in your first year?
It is a good idea to be willing to learn broadly and explore different fields that may be outside the scope of your major.
