I’m going into the third year of my Honours BA in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience!
Why did you want to become a mentor?
I was a mentee in my first year and I absolutely loved the program. I didn’t realize how many things I didn’t know about university and how many resources were available to me through Carleton until talking to my mentor! I wanted to be a mentor in order to extend that same helping hand to other first years who might be unsure of how to navigate the university, just like I was.
What is one thing you wished you knew in your first year?
One thing I wish I knew in my first year is that it’s ok to take breaks, and finding a balance between schoolwork and activities that bring you joy is so important for your well-being!
