Why I’m a mentor:
When I transferred to Carleton, I was from a different university and having a mentor to explain to me how Carleton works and what being in the History program meant was very useful to me and I hope to be able to provide that to other new Carleton students. I also hope to be able help students become familiar with all of the extracurricular activities that are available to them and their interests.
Something I wished I knew in my first year…
Basics such as that profs are only supposed to answer emails from our Carleton email, how to access that email. In first year I wish I knew how useful office hours are and how much profs really want to help us succeed.
