Police Record Check Information for FYC Mentors.

New online Process

Ottawa Police Record Checks are now available online. Please note, Elgin St Location will not process in person PRCs. You must fill out the online form.PRCs still take 8-12 weeks to process. Please ensure you’re submitting these forms by end of May to ensure they arrive before your training session in late August.Click on the forms below, download them, complete them, and upload them to the OPS online portal here.

Please note that you do need to have a bank account and credit history to be able to validate your identity online. Unfortunately, if you do not have a living address in Ottawa for the summer, you cannot use the OPS online serviceIn-Person checks will resume at 2670 Queensview Drive, however they are temporarily closed. We will provide updates as they become available

Checklist to Complete your PRC in Ottawa

1) Be residing in Ottawa for Summer 2017.

2) Download both the PRC Vulnerable Check and the PRC Letter FYC 2017 documents

3) Go to this site to submit your PRC

If you are not in Ottawa for the summer, you can still follow the above steps in your home district. If you are returning to Toronto, please bring along the Toronto Police Record Check form.

Submitting your PRC to the Program Coordinator

We require you to bring your original PRC copy to your in person Mentor Training date. If you do not have your PRC by this date, you will be unable to act as a mentor or participate in the training.
