Judy Perpose – Project Manager 

Judy Perpose is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University with a specialization in diplomacy and foreign policy. She recently completed her BA from the University of Toronto – Scarborough Campus in Public Policy, Global Asia Studies and Urban Governance. While studying, she has previously worked for two Deputy Mayors in the City of Toronto and the Government of Canada’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Unit.

Judy is looking forward to welcoming everyone to Carleton Model NATO 2022!

Delaram Arabi – Secretary General 

Delaram is a recent graduate from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, with a specialization in International Economic Policy. She holds an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Toronto with a focus on post-conflict statebuilding. This is Delaram’s second year as Secretary-General with the Carleton Model NATO

Amily Li- Finance and Logistics Coordinator 

Amily is a second year MA student at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) at Carleton University, specializing in International Organizations and Global Public Policy. She completed her BA in International Relations at Western University, during which she participated in numerous Model NATO and Model UN conferences both in Canada and abroad

Amily currently works for the Trade and Clean Technology division at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the perfect nexus of her two areas of interest: international trade and environmental policy. Prior to attending NPSIA, she has worked in the non-profit and international development sectors on numerous issues, including environment and climate change, youth employment, rural economic development, and international migration.

As this year’s Finance and Logistics Coordinator, Amily is excited to work alongside the Secretariat to plan and host an engaging and successive MNATO conference.

Ajit Kalsi – Crisis Director 

Ajit is a recent graduate from the MA program at NPSIA where he specialized in security and defence policy. After a stint with the Coast Guard he is now working for the CRA, but he found his way back to MNATO for another year. As a Crisis Director, Ajit is looking forward to seeing what delegates think of in the new year!

Deepmala Sahu – Media Director 

Deepmala is currently pursuing MA in Political Studies at University of Manitoba. Additionally, she also holds a degree in MSc International Relations from University of Glasgow. During her time in Scotland, Deepmala has worked with Scottish Parliament as a Parliamentary Assistant Intern. She has experience of working in political settings and non-profit sector.

As this year’s Media Director, Deepmala is excited to be working with the other outstanding members of the Secretariat and is eager to deliver yet another fantastic academic experience for all the delegates.
