So here&#8217;s one\u00a0<strong>workaround:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Plug your MacBook into the projector, as per usual.<br \/>\n<strong>Tip:<\/strong>\u00a0Keep a <a href=\"http:\/\/store.apple.com\/ca_edu_5000244\/product\/MB572Z\/B\/mini-displayport-to-vga-adapter\">VGA dongle<\/a>, appropriate for your MacBook, in your laptop bag.<\/li>\n<li>[Optional \u2013 Internet Connectivity]<br \/>\nIf you need Internet connectivity during your presentation, plug your MacBook into the provided Ethernet socket.<br \/>\n<strong>Tip:<\/strong>\u00a0Keep\u00a0an Ethernet patch cord, and if your MacBook needs one, a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/store.apple.com\/ca_edu_5000244\/product\/MC704ZM\/A\/apple-usb-ethernet-adapter\">USB-to-Ethernet dongle<\/a>, in your laptop bag.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create<\/strong> a Wi-Fi network <strong>using your MacBook<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Apple icon &gt; System Preferences\u2026 &gt; Network &gt; Wi-Fi &gt; Create Network\u2026 &gt; Security &gt; Password<br \/>\n<strong>Advanced Tip<\/strong>: You can avoid using your laptop to create the Wi-Fi network for your iPhone, by instead placing a pre-configured <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/airport-express\/\">Airport Express<\/a> in-line with with your MacBook Ethernet connection. Just plug the Ethernet cable intended for your laptop into the Airport Express, and run a 2nd Ethernet cable from the Airport Express to your laptop.<\/li>\n<li>Join your iPhone to the Wi-Fi network you just created.<br \/>\n\u2022 Settings &gt; Wi-Fi &gt; [select network you created]<\/li>\n<li>Launch <strong>Keynote Remote<\/strong> app on our iPhone<br \/>\n\u2022 Keynote Remote &gt; Settings \u00a0&gt; [Select MacBook or New Keynote Link\u2026]<\/li>\n<li>Launch <strong>Keynote<\/strong> on your Mac<br \/>\n\u2022 Keynote &gt; Preferences\u2026 &gt; Remote &gt; [Check] Enable iPhone and iPod Touch Remotes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>After Presentation:<\/strong> To restore Wi-Fi internet connectivity to your laptop after the presentation, select your normal Wi-Fi hotspot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong>\u00a0Mute your iPhone to avoid interruptions.
