Our approaches exploit linear and non-linear optical phenomena and include light scattering spectroscopy, linear and non-linear microscopy (second harmonic generation, two-photon excited fluorescence, Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman scattering) and Raman spectroscopy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specific applications of our work include monitoring extracellular matrix remodelling (especially collagen) and the development of 3D-bioprinted fibrotic tissue models. These projects are pursued with collaborators at Carleton University, the National Research Council Canada, the University of Ottawa, the University of British Columbia &#8211; Heart Lung Innovation Centre, and the University of Manitoba.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Projects<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/mostacoguidolin\/research\/cupim\/3d-printed-human-fibrotic-model-for-studying-how-abnormal-mechano-environment-may-affect-fibroblast-collagen-remodeling\/\">3D printed human fibrotic model for studying how abnormal mechano-environment may affect fibroblast collagen remodelling<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Research Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Dr. Mosta\u00e7o-Guidolin was invited to present an overview of some projects happening at the BioImaging and Tissue Engineering Lab.
