With the initiative and support of alumna Muthoni Kariuki and members of the Black Canadian Fundraisers’ Collective, an annual award has been established to promote Black leadership within the philanthropic and nonprofit sector to make professional education more equitable and inclusive.
Black Canadian students entering or continuing in Carleton’s Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership are eligible to apply for this award, doing so by January 15 of the year in which they wish to be considered.
Application details can be found here. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate their intention to pursue a career in professional fundraising.
